As a singer-songwriter, Nyjon's vision is to unite versatility and broad appeal with a potent message and delivery. With an innovative and refreshing repertoire already under his belt, his aim is "to write songs that will not only move people's feet but also their hearts."

Influenced by Stevie Wonder, David Gates, Kenny Lattimore, Bobby Caldwell and Conner Reeves, and with a 4-octave range to draw upon, Nyjon has synthesized a style that is at once distinctive and memorable. Focusing on R&B, Soul and Smooth Jazz, he can create a captivating and vivacious melody.

Nyjon enjoyed the mentorship of Sheen Doran, the chart-topping artist who has produced and directed shows for Tina Turner, Chaka Khan, Rod Stewart and Abba. After just eighteen months of voice training, he also attracted private funding to support his first venture into a professional studio, sealing his on-going writing partnership with the songwriter-lyricist-poet, Mario Petrucci..

Nyjon has also established a strong collaboration with the remarkable writer-producer Gareth Young, formerly of Windswept Publishing. Gareth has worked with the All Saints, Sugarbabes and Blue. No stranger to live performance, Nyjon was featured by Sky TV, at The Sky Dome in Coventry, in front of a capacity crowd. Also adept at performing and reworking songs by other artists, he recently produced a heart-rending version of George Harrison's classic "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" possessing a totally unexpected and unique sound.

A successful doctor and specialist in Natural Medicine (www.chironclinic.com), Nyjon has found a way to merge music with his medical practice by co-founding the Charity, CHART (Complementary Healthcare and Remedies Trust). CHART's aim is to assist those seeking natural/supportive cancer therapies currently unavailable on the National Health Service.

Mario Petrucci is a prodigious and accomplished wordsmith. His combination of sharp lyrical style and inventive sparkle has captured international awards across a range of genres. He has co-written a libretto with Steven Warbeck (Shakespeare in Love), recently on BBC2. Mario has now turned his attention more fully to lyrics and songwriting, in response to the immense energy and productivity generated through his partnership with Nyjon.

 
DOCTOR NYJON

Dr Nyjon Eccles BSc MBBS MRCP PhD is an expert in Nutritional Medicine. He is Medical Director of the Chiron Clinic in Harley Street, where he specializes in the use of nutritional protocols for the arrest of disease.

"People often ask whether I am a singer or a doctor. I am both. Music is therapeutic to me, and whatever gifts the Almighty blesses us with, I feel we should find a way to use them for the benefit of all. CHART will enable this music to make a difference, at least to some."

Nyjon is the UK's pioneer in Infrared Thermal Imaging, used in the early detection of breast cancer. Through his research on the effect of static magnetic fields, the first ever therapeutic magnetic product gained Drug Tariff approval in March 2006. He lectures regularly on the subjects of Food as Medicine, Nutrition in Breast Health and Nutrition in Child Health.
